About Me
I'm a total geek, and I love travelling. Oxyhydrogen rules and it is your friend! I'm currently really digging on being here at the family home. New England is a lot better than I remembered... I'm a green technology inventor and science fiction writer. http://acmeges.com

I'm a long-time professional musician who's been on sabbatical for some time, but am getting my repetoire revamped for public display once again. I love old Celtic stuff.

TV
Don't watch it at all unless its source is DVD driven. That broadcast crap will rot your brain (as it's designed to do).
I LOVE Black Adder, Dr. Who, Star Trek, Spongebob Squarepants and Sealab 2021.
Books
Anything by Robert Heinlein, Ray Bradbury, Eckart Tolle and J.K. Rowling. Old National Geographics! Laurie Lee "Cider with Rosie/As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning", Zecharia Sitchin. "The Idea of the Holy" by Rudolph Otto, Colin Andrews.
Dale Carnegie rocks in an older, gentler way, but he still rocks nonetheless.
Once again enthralled with the "so bad it's good" novel 'Folk of the Air' by Peter S. Beagle. Why do I keep doing this to myself?

Compassion, good listening skills and honesty.

Bare ruined choirs where late the sweet birds sang..."
The above Bard-generated words are the only and best ones I can think of to mirror the contents of my heart; though I know this will pass, like everything does.
The sages of the East said that, and it is their sentiment that I employ now, at the dimming of someone else's day...
...and lots of sewing seems to help, too. I will post some pictures of my fairy skirt soon, which is currently under construction...
'Tis only with a smidge of regret that we decided to postpone our journey to Pennsic til next year. We have only just discovered that the two handsome young persons pictured above are getting married next year, and they will arrive here in Middleboro on August 10 of this year.
She is my step-daughter Monica, and he is the lunky guy named Eric who thinks he's going to marry her. Sorry, as a parent I'm required to say that! Of course he is entirely suitable. They came to visit us in Lemuria about 2 years ago and stayed with us in that little tiny hut I posted a picture of in my gallery, surrounded by banana trees. And they actually had a good time; they're both strong and tough characters. And so young! They're both 21.
So...the fairy wings will get full usage at King Richard's Faire starting in October! It's literally 20 minutes away from home. Hey, you get it where you can!
Haldorr, I'll have to look you and Iron Lance up when we travel to fair Florida to visit Monica, who's going to nursing school there. I have read of pirate festivals there, and now that we're on the same landmass as lovely daughterling, you can bet we'll be visiting as often as we can. It was hard to be so far away for so long in Lemuria...but now we are returned. I'm really going to enjoy being a grandmother...
Melancholy, sweet melancholy hath come unto thee for a visit I see. Doth thine eld bear heavy upon they soul? Nay, lady each season hath gifts unto us if we but open our eyes to them. How I will now be not as I would then, thanks be to God!
The Holy Writ doth tell us that unto all there be a season - a cycle of things. Rejoice what ye have, remember ye well how it was, and look ye yet to what is to come.
Let thy smile lighteth thy countenance, lady, and they day wilt be fair.
Truly, I have no desire to be a faggot for the pleasure of others so gawking a-noon’s sport nor do I wish to hear the word “heretic” bantered about by the unlettered. Fear be an ugly companion of bad whispers and yet doth it rage today or so I bethink me.
Therefore, be it a light unto the darkness when a candle, as thou art, dareth to show its flame betopped a bucket for all to see.
Hope doth resided yet in Pandora’s box and with hope the future doth await the bold.
